How you can tell he’s 10 and not 13

Standard

DS1 has been practicing to be  a teenager lately – you know, the mouth, the eye-rolling etc.  I was starting to think maybe I misremembered and he was actually older than 10.

Then today, after school, he’s talking about the “Training Camp” they do annually with respresentatives from the nearest NFL franchise.  Last year it was players so I assumed the same this year.  I asked him if he remembered the players names, figuring he could tell DH – the resident football fan.

His response?  No, there weren’t any players.  There was only cheerleaders there.

Definitely not 13.  I’m thinking a 13 y.o. boy would rank the cheerleaders showing up as a bigger deal than the players.
